Why Marry?

WHY MARRY?

1. Companionship- [Genesis 2:18]- And the LORD God said, it is not good that the man should be alone. Adam was alone and needed company. to be with. To talk to. To listen to. To enjoy each other’s presence.

Helper-: [Genesis 2:18]-I will make him a help meet for him.

A person to share life’s joys, responsibilities and burden together.

[Ecclesiastes 4:9]- Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor.
10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falls; for he hath not another to help him to rise.
12 And if one prevails against him, two shall withstand him; and a three-fold cord is not quickly broken.

2. Sex- [Ecclesiastes 4:11]- Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?

[Genesis 1:28]- And God blessed them, and God said to them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living animal that moves upon the earth.

• There is a belief cherished even among some Christians that sex is dirty, not to be talked about and a necessary evil. That is not biblical. Sex is good, holy at the right time with the right person. Try it. Warm those cold nights.

9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.

2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
